On Saturday, November 30th, the Prairie North Co-op Agro Fuel Team not only provided the steaks, baked potatoes and fixings for the 250 people in attendance at the Wapiti Valley Ski & Board Resort 'Make it Snow' fundraising supper . . . they cooked them! "It was a cold night to be barbecuing but our team did an amazing job and we got a lot of people folks fed in a short period of time", says general manager, Terry Tremblay. "We had so many compliments on what was coming off the grill. People were amazed that we were putting out medium well steaks given the cold and the lighting".

It may have been a chilly night for cooking steaks, but it was a beautiful night to turn on the snow making equipment for the season. Adrian Bourgeois posted this after the event, "Thank you to everyone who supported the Wapiti Valley Ski & Board Resort fundraising supper tonight it was a huge success. 250 meals, lots of prizes, lots of fun. And a HUGE thank you to Prairie North Co-op for their amazing support".

"We saw an opportunity to make a difference and we stepped up", Tremblay elaborates, "and we had fun doing it".
