Prairie North Co-op's annual Pie Sensations pie sale was started a couple of years ago by staff in response to the loss of a team member. The premise was that all flavours of pies would be on sale for a two-week period and that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the pies would be donated to charity. The first year, almost $10,000 was donated to Heart & Stroke between staff, member and customer direct donations from pie sales.

In 2021, the fourth year for the fundraiser, the event was shortened and ran May 20th through 23rd at the Archerwill, Kelvington, Naicam, Melfort, Spalding, and St. Brieux food stores. This year six flavours of pies were available - apple, cherry, blueberry, pumpkin, saskatoon and strawberry rhubarb. The pies sold for $4.99 with $2.00 from each pie sold going to local food banks in Melfort and Kelvington. Over 1500 pies were sold which generated around $3000 for the donation.
